Currently, Morgen is now available on web browsers, but this work is currently in development and will be available soon.
Morgen is a desktop-first app. Our mobile app, available on iOS and Android, is a companion app. With the mobile app you can manage your calendars and tasks on the go, while also getting mobile notifications or using the widget to see what's coming up on your schedule. However, certain features, such as creating Scheduling links or using the AI Planner, are only available on the desktop app.
We recommend you start by downloading and configuring the desktop app before using the mobile app.
Morgen has a built-in task manager. You can create task lists, tasks and subtasks, and capture all crucial information such as due dates, priorities, and estimated duration. Morgen tasks can be created within the task panel or directly from the calendar.
You can also connect any task and project management tools that you use to Morgen to view and prioritize tasks from all sources together.
If your tasks, be they Morgen tasks or tasks from an integrated source such as Todoist, Notion, or ClickUp, have due dates, you can opt to display those in your calendar. Due dates are displayed with a little grey flag to make them easily distinguished from scheduled tasks.
To display due dates, click on View in the task panel, then check the option to Display due dates in the calendar. You will need to do this for each integration, making it easy to choose which task source should have displayed due dates.

Morgen makes time blocking simple, including scheduling tasks from integrated sources such as Notion, ClickUp, Todoist, or more.
You can easily pull any task from the task panel into your calendar to schedule time for the task. You can easily adjust the duration, copy one instance to create multiple work sessions for large tasks, or set recurring patterns once the initial task is scheduled. Additionally, you can create a Morgen task directly in your calendar by clicking on your calendar and selecting Task in the widget that opens.
Learn more about time blocking manually in Morgen in this guide.
The AI Planner recommends which tasks to schedule when based on your capacity, preferences, Frames, and prioritization based on the Morgen Priority Factor. But the recommended plan is just that—a recommendation.
While in preview mode, you'll notice the proposed tasks will pulsate to highlight which tasks are being proposed. You can modify the plan during this stage by opting to unschedule something, changing the duration or order of tasks, or even pulling a different task into the calendar. Once you are satisfied with the plan click on the Schedule all button. Alternatively, if you don't want to use the recommended plan, simply click on the X in the upper left to close the AI Planner.
Morgen's AI Planner will never make changes to your calendar without your approval. The AI Planner provides recommendations, such as which tasks should be time blocked today or this week, when a incompleted task should be rescheduled, or how to resolve a scheduling conflict. However, you will always be prompted to confirm the change. When reviewing the AI Planner's proposal for scheduled tasks, you can further adjust the plan manually before saving it.
Learn how to get smart planning assistance from the AI Planner in this guide.
The AI Planner uses Morgen's Priority Factor to prioritize which tasks to schedule. This means that when you get a recommended schedule by the AI Planner it considers:
- Importance
- Due date
- Task duration
- Your capacity
- Task recency
You will also see a list of tasks coming due soon that did not fit in the schedule so you can decide if something should be reprioritized.
Learn more about the Morgen Priority Factor and how it weighs different dimensions to help create your ideal schedule.
Morgen's AI Planner will alert you when a scheduling conflict arises with a previously scheduled task. For instance, if you had a task scheduled for 10am and a meeting has now been booked at that time, you will see a message in Morgen alerting you to the conflict. It will provide quick options for you to choose from:
- Have the AI Planner reschedule the task ASAP
- Repriotize with the AI Planner (this will may moving adjusting other scheduled tasks to make time for the highest priority one first)
- Unschedule the task
You can also choose to manually reschedule the task if you prefer.
Frames are a great way to template how you want to spend your time. You can think of a Frame as a calendar for tasks and are helpful to guide you and the AI Planner as to which types of tasks should be scheduled when. Frames are a deep layer in your calendar and can be scheduled over by events.
Where Frames become particularly powerful, is when you assign a task filter to the Frame, essentially to dedicating the time to a specific kind of work - be it for deep work, studying, quick wins, or a creative project. Once you assign a task filter to the Frame, the AI Planner can schedule the right types of tasks at your ideal time. Learn more about how to make the most of Frames in this guide.
A benefit of using Morgen is the ability to manage all your calendars together, giving you a holistic view of your time. Each calendar you connect in Morgen will be displayed in a different color to make them easily distinguishable. You can further customize this by:
- Selecting custom colors for each calendar.
- Assigning each calendar the appropriate name (ie. work, family, personal)
- Assigning each calendar to a calendar set, ultimately giving it a short cut for quickly jumping between calendars
Learn how in Morgen's guides.
Using Morgen's Calendar propagation workflow, you can sync events from one calendar to another, even between calendar providers. When you set up Calendar propagation you will choose a source and a destination calendar, with the events from the source syncing to the destination calendar. By default, the synced events will appear as "Busy" events with no details visible; this is to protect your privacy if you are syncing events from a personal calendar into a work calendar where your colleagues have visibility.
This workflow can be further configured using Nerd mode, where you can set up further rules about which events should propagate between calendars. To configure and deploy Calendar propagation click on the workflows icon (crossed arrows) in the Morgen desktop app or visit the platform directly.
Calendar propagation can be used with Google, Outlook, iCloud, and Fastmail calendars.

Morgen can automatically schedule buffer time before or after meetings, giving you time to transition from one event to another, prepare, or just grab a coffee. You configure the workflow to set the duration of your desired buffers, including whether you want longer buffers following long meetings, as well as which calendars should have buffer time added. Then, once turned on, Morgen will automatically add your buffers as meetings are scheduled. If those meetings are shifted to a new time, the associated buffer will follow.
Configure and turn on the buffer time automation by clicking on the workflow icon on the left side of Morgen's desktop app or going directly to the Morgen platform. Note that the buffer time workflow can only be used with Outlook, Google, iCloud, and Fastmail calendars.
Morgen can calculate and schedule travel time for any event in your calendar with a location. You configure the travel time workflow with your primary mode of transportation, base address, and any additional buffer you would like added to travel blocks. Morgen then applies this information, along with the time of day, using Google Maps, to provide a realistic estimate of travel time required.
This workflow can be configured and activated by selecting the workflow icon on the left side of your Morgen desktop app or going directly to the Morgen platform. Note: Travel time can be scheduled by Morgen Assist in Google, Outlook, iCloud, and Fastmail calendars only.
