Why Morgen

Your inbox isn't a to-do list. Stop treating it like one.

Flagging an email in Outlook doesn't make the work happen. It just means you see the same 200 flagged emails again tomorrow morning, feeling slightly worse.

Morgen turns flagged Outlook emails into real tasks via Microsoft To Do, then lets you drag each one onto a specific time slot on your calendar. The work is scheduled. The inbox shrinks. Email stops being the job.

All through Microsoft's official Graph API. Your email stays in Outlook, your tasks stay in To Do, and Morgen just gives you the planning layer you always wished Outlook had.

Features

Turn Outlook email into a real plan

Stop letting your inbox dictate your day.

Flagged emails become tasks

Flag any email in Outlook and it instantly arrives in Morgen as a task you can drag onto your calendar — with the original email one click away.

Time-block your email triage

Schedule real "process inbox" blocks on your calendar instead of reactively refreshing Outlook every five minutes. Finally do email, then stop.

Follow-ups never slip

Every "I'll get to this later" flagged email gets a real day and time on the calendar — not just a growing pile in the inbox sidebar.

Instant two-way sync

Complete the task in Morgen and the flag clears in Outlook. Unflag in Outlook and it disappears from Morgen. Everything stays in lockstep.

AI Planner clears the backlog

Let Morgen's AI distribute flagged emails across the week, respecting your real meeting schedule, so the pile actually shrinks instead of growing.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Everything you need to know about using Outlook email with Morgen.

How does Morgen connect to Outlook email?

Through Microsoft To Do. Outlook automatically syncs flagged emails into a Microsoft To Do list called "Flagged Email." Morgen connects to that list via Microsoft Graph and OAuth 2.0, so every flagged email arrives in Morgen as a task ready to schedule.

Does Morgen read the body of my emails?

No. Morgen only reads the flagged-email task that Microsoft To Do creates — subject line, due date, and a link back to the original email. The email body stays in Outlook.

Does this work with Outlook.com and Microsoft 365 for Business?

Yes, both. Anything that flows into Microsoft To Do's "Flagged Email" list will arrive in Morgen — whether it's a personal Outlook.com account or a Microsoft 365 work/school account.

Does it work with on-premise Exchange?

Only if your Exchange server is connected to Microsoft 365 / Exchange Online. Pure on-premise Exchange doesn't expose Microsoft Graph, so this integration can't reach it.

What happens when I schedule a flagged email in Morgen?

A calendar block is created on your Outlook (or any connected) calendar, linked to the task. When you complete it, the flag clears in Outlook across every device.

Can I reply to the email from inside Morgen?

Not directly — Morgen is a calendar, not an email client. But every flagged-email task has a one-click "Open in Outlook" link that jumps you straight to the original message to reply.

Does this work cross-platform?

Yes. Morgen runs on macOS, Windows, iOS, Android, and the web. Flag an email on iPhone, schedule it on your Mac, and complete it on Windows.

How is this different from just using Microsoft To Do directly?

To Do is a list. Morgen is a calendar — the thing that actually protects time on your day. The key move is dragging each flagged email onto a specific time slot, which To Do can't do.

Is there a free version?

Morgen offers a 14-day free trial of Morgen Pro — no credit card required. After the trial, Pro is required to keep using the Outlook/To Do integration.

Can I use Morgen with Gmail / Google Workspace too?

Yes, through Google Tasks. If you run Gmail alongside Outlook, Morgen unifies both — Outlook flagged emails and Gmail "Add to Tasks" items in one planning view.
