The best calendar for Google Tasks

Connect Google Tasks to Morgen and turn your Gmail-captured to-dos into a scheduled day. Drag tasks onto your calendar, time-block them, and watch every edit sync back to Google in real time.
Google Tasks is fine for capture. It's not a plan.
Google Tasks lives in a skinny side panel inside Gmail. It's great for catching things as they come in — but a stack of checkboxes isn't a schedule. Without real time next to each task, work slides into "later."
Morgen closes the loop. It reads your Google Tasks lists over the official API, shows them beside your Google Calendar, and lets you drag any task onto a time slot. Once it's on the calendar, it's real.
Every completion, edit, or reschedule syncs back to Google Tasks in seconds, so Gmail, the Tasks mobile app, and Morgen stay perfectly in step.

Frequently asked questions
Everything you need to know about using Google Tasks with Morgen.
How does Morgen connect to Google Tasks?
Morgen uses Google's official Tasks API with OAuth 2.0. You sign in with your Google account once and grant Morgen permission to read and write your tasks. No passwords are stored, and you can revoke access anytime from your Google Account security page.
What data does Morgen access?
Only your Google Tasks lists, task titles, notes, due dates, and completion status. Morgen never reads your Gmail, Drive, or other Google services unless you separately connect them (for example, Google Calendar).
Does this work cross-platform?
Yes. Morgen is available on macOS, Windows, iOS, Android, and the web. Google Tasks syncs the same way on every platform, so your time blocks follow you between desktop and mobile.
Which Google Tasks lists does Morgen show?
All of them. Every list you've created in Gmail, Google Calendar, or the Tasks mobile app appears in Morgen's panel. You can hide specific lists in settings if you only want to plan certain projects.
Can I create new tasks from inside Morgen?
Yes. Add a task in Morgen, pick a Google Tasks list as the destination, and it writes directly to Google. It shows up in Gmail and the Tasks mobile app within seconds.
What happens when I complete a task in Morgen?
It's marked complete in Google Tasks instantly. The check propagates to Gmail, the Tasks mobile app, and anywhere else you use Google Tasks.
Does Morgen support subtasks and due dates?
Yes. Subtasks created in Google Tasks show up in Morgen with their parent relationship intact. Due dates sync both ways, and you can optionally add a specific time by dragging the task onto your calendar.
How is Morgen different from just using Google Calendar's task sidebar?
Google Calendar shows tasks as a thin side panel with dates only — no drag-and-drop time-blocking, no AI scheduling, no unified view with Outlook or iCloud calendars. Morgen is built around the "drag a task onto a time slot" workflow, plus it unifies Google Tasks with Todoist, Notion, Linear, Apple Reminders and more.
Is there a free version?
Morgen offers a 14-day free trial of Morgen Pro — no credit card required. After the trial, Pro is required to keep using task integrations including Google Tasks.
Can I use Morgen with other task apps at the same time?
Absolutely. Morgen was built to unify multiple systems. You can run Google Tasks alongside Todoist, Microsoft To Do, Linear, Notion, ClickUp, Obsidian, and Apple Reminders — all in a single calendar-centric view.
